In honor of our My Gimpy Life takeover on Comediva.com, I wrote up these text convos between Teal Sherer and her wheelchair! Man, that wheelchair is needy.
I wrote these Game of Thrones Pick-up Lines with Luis Navarro! Click through for lots more, and you’ll be guaranteed some Westeros action ;-)
KNOPE 2012! And I’m not talking about Pawnee City Council, I’m talking WHITE HOUSE, baby! One of my favorite shows, Parks & Recreation, came back this week, so I imagined what Leslie Knope’s Presidential Cabinet might look like, (with other characters from the show, natch!) Enjoy!
I had sooo much fun photoshoppin’ these geeky vacation postcards. So hard to even choose a favorite! So click through for a BUNCH more: Best & Worst Sci-Fi and Fantasy Vacation Destinations
The Squirrel Games! Consider this my addition to The Hunger Games fanaticism. I’m reading Book 2 right now, and so far there’s been so much mention of killing squirrels, that I had to think the squirrels would rebel. So I created this comic…check it out!
Just designed this “Save the Date” card for our next COMEDIVA LIVE! So mark your calendars! ;-)
It’s Comediva’s birthday today! It’s officially been one year since we launched Comediva.com, a destination for female-driven comedy, and my, oh my, what a year it’s been. Really.
I can’t say enough how grateful I am for all the wonderful people surrounding me who have made this possible. And knowing what a long journey we still have ahead to grow this site and fulfill all our dreams of what it could be, I know that I must continue to be grateful, courageous, and empowering to everyone around me.
There have been moments in this strenuous journey into my new life as a creative entrepreneur that I’ve felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, and in those moments, I tend to feel very alone. But I must continually remind myself how I’m not alone — how I’m actually surrounded by talented, smart, beautiful, funny people who want to make things better, every day. They believe in the idea that we can be better — we can be better people, better creatives, and a better company.
We’ll never stop reaching for the stars.
Love,
Erika
In honor of Comediva’s Birthday tomorrow, I made a Top 11 list of my favorite items of the last year. This was not easy, especially with so many gems like the Canadian Bacon above floating around our site’s archives. ;-)
I have an embarrassing confession to make: I’m addicted to Real Housewives shows, and all things Bravo, really. So embarrassed of this am I that I have yet to write a RH-themed article for the site, despite what linkbait it could be. But I finally unleashed this addiction in full-force today, when I wrote Real Housewives of Your Favorite Shows.
Is it possible to be a geek and still enjoy Bravo? Or is it sacrilege? Look, I know RH shows are terrible and mindless, but that’s exactly what I need some nights, after an especially mentally exhausting day. I just wanna watch b*tches argue about throwing lavish charity parties and not inviting each other, OK??
But you’d be surprised how much RH-esque drama you can spot on other shows sometimes ;-) Inspired by SNL’s “Real Housewives of Disney,” I did a little imagining of my own, you be the judge of the result… ;-)
If Walking Dead Zombies Were on Facebook…
…there’d be a whole lotta brain pics in your feed.
Gruh,
Erika
A message from Darth Vader.
Even a Sith Lord has to get his Bejeweled on.
Just designed this geeky Battlestar Galactica shirt for Comediva. Once you frak, you can’t go back! ;-)
Some fun Photoshoppin’ transpired this week when I collab’d with Luis Navarro on Lightsaber Duels That Should Have Happened! This one was my personal fave, but there are many good ones, including one of Dwight and Michael from The Office! Check it out.
I consider this under the category of “My Gifts to the World.” Yes, hot, famous men, if they were made entirely of chocolate (click to see Brad Pitt, Chris Hemsworth, and more). Nom nom nom away.

What if you could have a boyfriend made out of chocolate?
